The Kanabo Boost is an Item Box power-up that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series
Description [ ] The Kanabo Boost's icon takes the form of spiked bat weapon, leaving purple trail aura (along with a yellow spark in it) in its wake.
Overview [ ] In gameplay, the Kanabo Boost can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by Oni Mephiles .
Once obtained, the player can utilize the Kanabo Boost by pressing its icon on the bottom of the HUD. When used, the Kanabo Boost will increase the speed of the user for a short amount of time. The duration of the Kanabo Boost is shown by the decreasing gauge on top of this power-up's icon on the bottom of the HUD whenever the Kanabo Boost is in effect. In addition, any rival character who approaches the user from adjacent lanes while the Kanabo Boost is in effect will be damaged, slowed down momentarily and also lose Rings .
The Kanabo Boost can also be upgraded by leveling the user up to level 2, 8 and 14 respectively. For each upgrade, the Kanabo Boost will last longer.
