- He is the first English voice actor of Dr. Robotnik, starting from the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog pilot episode until being replaced by Long John Baldry in the final series, and later voicing him in the Sonic the Hedgehog television series.
- Cummings voiced Robotnik in the said pilot with a Peg Leg Pete styled voice whom he is well known for voicing for. Whereas in SatAM he voiced him with a darker and sinister tone.
- Cummings voices Lord Boxman in the OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes television series. Creator Ian Jones-Quartey has stated Cummings' portrayal of Robotnik was a partial factor in the original casting of the character. In the episode "Let's Meet Sonic", Lord Boxman claims that he went to college with Dr. Eggman, likely referencing Cummings' prior portrayal of the character.[citation needed]
