- He is the first English voice actor for Doctor Eggman, starting from the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog pilot episode until being replaced by Long John Baldry in the main series, and later voicing him in the Sonic the Hedgehog television series.
- Cummings voiced Robotnik in the said pilot with a Peg Leg Pete styled voice whom he is well known for voicing for. Whereas in SatAM he voiced him with a darker and sinister tone.
- Cummings voices Lord Boxman in the OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes television series. Its creator Ian Jones-Quartey has stated that Cummings' portrayal of Robotnik in SatAM was a partial factor in the original casting of the character. In the episode "Let's Meet Sonic", Lord Boxman claims that he went to college with Eggman, likely referencing Cummings' prior portrayal of the character.[citation needed]
