The Jeweled Scepter is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a mystical artifact from the Sol Zone which is guarded by Blaze the Cat. It holds the power to harness the forces sustaining dimensions and can control the geological activity of Blaze's home world.

Description[]

The Jeweled Scepter is an ornate device that resembles a shepherd's hook. It consists of a black staff with a purple hook, and the pommel, the joint between the hook and the staff, and the hook itself are adorned with several gems.

History[]

Guarded by Blaze the Cat's royal family for generations, the Jeweled Scepter was stolen by Captain Whisker and his crew for Dr. Eggman and Eggman Nega so they could harness its powers. Although Blaze reclaimed it with the aid of her friends, the doctors stole the scepter themselves, only to be defeated by Super Sonic and Burning Blaze. The scepter was then returned to safekeeping.[1]

Trivia[]

  • As revealed by Ian Flynn in a Q&A session, the Jeweled Scepter is the reason that the Sol Zone only wavered and was not wiped out by the collapse of the multiverse that followed the Super Genesis Wave.[2]
  • The Jeweled Scepter was supposed to make an appearance in Sonic Universe #96, but ultimately did not due to the comics' cancellation.
