The Ixis Ritual Chamber[1] is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a chamber erected beneath the Royal Army Headquarters by Ixis Naugus, from which he planned to create a new Order of Ixis.
Description[]
The Ixis Ritual Chamber is a subterranean uneven circular chamber with a pedestal in its center surrounded by braziers and runes arrayed in a circular pattern. It is connected to The Pit via a hidden tunnel.

At some point following the Battle Bird Armada's attack on New Mobotropolis, Ixis Naugus erected the Ixis Ritual Chamber directly underneath the Royal Army Headquarters, and prepared a spell to create a new Order of Ixis.[2]
Secret Freedom Fighters[]
Three members of the Secret Freedom Fighters - Elias Acorn, Leeta and Lyco - later discovered the Ixis Ritual Chamber by following Ixis Naugus while he was walking around New Mobotropolis. Leeta and Lyco followed Naugus while Elias set a bomb to help them escape (the entrance had been magically sealed behind them when Naugus walked away). Leeta accidentally revealed their presence by screaming when she saw Naugus' new mutation. Although Elias managed to find the twins and escape the Ixis Ritual Chamber, they were hit by a blast of wind magic from the wizard just before escaping, and fell downwards into the pit.[2]
Shortly afterwards, Geoffrey St. John brought the bones of Ixis Vale to Naugus in the Ixis Ritual Chamber, which he had retrieved from Vale's Crypt. Naugus then revealed to Geoffrey that he planned to use the bones to cast a spell to take control of the Council of Acorn from below. Shocked, Geoffrey stated that such an act was terrible, even by his standards, and argued with Naugus not to proceed. Naugus, however, disregarded his plea, and continued with creating the spell.[1]
Before Naugus could cast his spell, the Secret Freedom Fighters - Elias, Leeta, Lyco, Silver, and Shard - burst into the Ixis Ritual Chamber. During the ensuring battle, Ixis Vale's bones were turned to dust by Shard's cannon, and the Secret Freedom Fighters planted several bombs on the Ixis Ritual Chamber's walls, which they soon detonated, causing it to collapse. With the spell destroyed and their mission complete, the Secret Freedom Fighters escaped the collapsing chamber. Geoffrey attempted to escape with them, but Naugus trapped him using his Crystalline Magic, leaving them both in the tunnel.[3]
