Turns the user invisible, avoiding all attacks.

— Description, Sonic Free Riders

Invisible is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is an Extreme Gear Gear Part that can turn both the Extreme Gear and its rider invisible throughout a race and make them invulnerable.

Invisible is an installable performance-enhancing component for Extreme Gears. Its actual appearance is unknown, though it is presented as an icon on the head-up display in the top-left corner of the game screen. Its icon is a purple-colored circle with a lavender stereotypical ghost inscribed in it.

In gameplay, Invisible is a customizable Gear Part that can be attached to different Extreme Gears. It can be bought from the shop for 1,500 Rings after the player has completed Team Dark's story.

When in use, Invisible makes the playable character and his/her Extreme Gear completely invisible to the opponents participating in the race. For the player using Invisible, however, his/her playable character only becomes transparent, allowing the player to still perceive his/her character. In addition, Invisible also makes the playable character completely invulnerable to attacks from Action Items.

If Invisible is installed into the front slot, it becomes active in gameplay once the race begins. If installed into the rear slot, however, the player can activate, and as well deactivate, Invisible by switching stance by turning his/her body around due to the Kinect controls of the game.
