The Instantaneous Liquefaction[1] is a move that appears in Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut. It is a technique utilized by Chaos 2 where it turns into a hazardous puddle.

Description

When performing Instantaneous Liquefaction, Chaos 2 transforms its body into a liquid state, enabling it to spread out over the entire area like a puddle and strike from anywhere it resides.

In gameplay, the Instantaneous Liquefaction is used during the Chaos 2 boss battle. This move lets Chaos 2 attack Knuckles anywhere on the battlefield. In order to best avoid this attack, the player should utilize Knuckles’ Glide until Chaos 2 stops using this attack.
