The Illusion Boost is a Boost item that appears in Sonic Forces: Speed Battle.

Description

The Illusion Boost takes the form of a cone of crimson energy that surrounds the player. Small red energy cubes are left behind the player as a cosmetic effect.

Espio using the Illusion Boost

In gameplay, the Illusion Boost can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by Espio the Chameleon, Silver the Hedgehog and Rouge the Bat. As with all other Items, Metal Sonic can also use the Illusion Boost if he uses the Steal Item to steal it from the aforementioned users.

When used, the Illusion Boost will increase the speed of the user for a short amount of time and surrounds them in crimson energy that inflicts Illusion to opponents on contact.
