Ignis Fleuret (イグニス・フルーレ, Igunisu Furūre^?) is an item that appears in Sonic and the Black Knight. It is an unlockable weapon that can be equipped to and wielded by Sir Percival.

Description

Ignis Fleuret mostly resemble a rapier with a golden-brown coloration. It has a straight grip with a mostly rectangular sword pummel and a sharp outward edge as a guard. Above the guard, the foot of the blade is very broad and in the shape of a ball, with curved tube-like segments adorning the sides. Sticking out from the top of this ball is the blade which goes inward and ends in a long, slightly brighter, pin.

Etymology

True to it's in-game description, ignis is a Latin word meaning "fire." The fleuret is the French name for the blunt knob on the point of a Foil, a sword used in fencing.
