Trivia
- On cover D, Sonic and Tails can be seen shouting "50 issues? Good! Great! Awesome! Outstanding! Amazing!" in different colored fonts. This is a reference to the Trick Action system in Sonic Colors and Sonic Colors: Ultimate, where the same words are said depending on the player's performance.
- Surge's pose on cover D is in reference to DIO's laughing pose from the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure video game.
- Not counting any Animals, Chao, or Wisps, the only video game character that has made an appearance in the comic series but does not appear on the cover is Gardon.
- Conversely, Marine also appears on the cover despite not making her full debut in the series yet.
- On cover D, Froggy is drawn with the tail that his counterpart gained and later lost in Sonic Adventure.
- Cover D features multiple panels that reference storylines and arcs that have occurred throughout the comic's run, such as:
- Tangle using Whisper's mask scope to witness the playback of the Diamond Cutters getting attacked by Shadow Androids, which occurred in Sonic the Hedgehog: Tangle & Whisper #3, "Betrayal".
- Sonic, Tails, and Amy facing Dr. Eggman's tower from the "Test Run!" arc in Sonic the Hedgehog #37-#40.
- Super Sonic and Super Silver defeating Giant Zavok and destroying the Metal Virus, which occurred in Sonic the Hedgehog #29, "All or Nothing, Part 4".
- Sonic's Zombot allies being led to Angel Island, which began in Sonic the Hedgehog #25, "A Sudden Shift".
- Big checking Echo Mine's refuse pit for either Froggy or Rough and Tumble, which was first depicted in Sonic the Hedgehog Annual 2020, "Big's Big Adventure".
- Rough and Tumble's destruction of the Egg-Rex, as well as Zavok's discovery of the true nature of the Power Cores, which occurred in Sonic the Hedgehog: Bad Guys #2, "Smash & Grab".
- Amy and Jewel guiding the campers of the Forest Ridge Zone Campground to help combat the incoming forest fire, which happened in Sonic the Hedgehog #46, "Trial by Fire, Part 2".
- Super Neo Metal Sonic fighting Sonic and Knuckles, which occurred in Sonic the Hedgehog #10, "The Battle for Angel Island, Part 2".
- Sonic and Tails fighting the Deadly Six, which occurred in Sonic the Hedgehog #43, "Zeti Hunt, Part 3".
- The "Chao Races and Badnik Bases" story arc, which occurred in Sonic the Hedgehog #33-#36.
- The "Fallout!" story arc, which occurred in Sonic the Hedgehog #1-#4.
- The first official meeting of the Sonic Fan Club, which occurred in Sonic the Hedgehog Annual 2019, "Sonic Fan Club".
- Cover RI-B has fifty frames of Sonic in a running animation in reference to this issue's number.
- Cover RI-B was inspired Sonic the Hedgehog #3 of the Sonic the Hedgehog miniseries by Archie Comics, which was the first comic owned by Tyson Hesse.[9]
