The giant statue of Doctor Robotnik in the Casino Night Zone, emitting the Hypnosis Beam, from Sonic the Comic #18. Art by Richard Elson.

The Hypnosis Beam is an object that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. It was built into a gigantic statue of Doctor Ivo Robotnik in the centre of the Casino Night Zone. It constantly sent out hypnotizing beams that compelled visitors to gamble all their money on the Zone's rigged casino games.[1] The statue housing the hypnosis beam (and the computer system that controlled the games) was blown up by Sonic the Hedgehog and Porker Lewis, releasing the citizens from their trance.[2]
