Humans are creatures that appear in the in the anime series Sonic X and its comic series published by Archie Comics. They are the dominant species of the planet Sonic and his friends were teleported to.

Description[]

Anatomy[]

Human anatomy is very similar to their real-life counterparts, although in the context of Sonic X, many are stylized with an exaggerated anime appearance. One key difference between them and their real-life counterparts is that many humans in Sonic X have unusual eye colors, such as purple eyes or orange eyes, which is not the case for real-life humans.

Their hair and eye colors tend to be more in line with reality, often having skin tones from peach to tan to brown, and having hair colors such as black, brown, blonde, or ginger. However, a seperate group of humans native to Sonic's home dimension appear to be capable of having more unique hair colors, such as purple hair in the case of Leon.[1] Some humans, such as Chuck or Nelson, also have purple eyes.

Characteristics and culture[]

Humans are very diverse in terms of the culture, with Sonic often travelling across Earth as a means of experiencing what these different cultures have to offer.[2] Humans are the dominant species of Earth, with settlments in all major continents and in various types of biomes.

Powers and abilities[]

Although it is said humanity is behind technologically as compared to Sonic's home planet[3], they never the less have created many high-level technological marvels beyond what real-life humans have, most notable among these being the Space Colony Ark.

They can, however, adapt to Dr. Eggman's technology and create their own mechs. 7 years after Sonic and co. went back to Sonic's World, Christopher Thorndyke could reenact Chaos Control without Chaos Emeralds.

However, the group humans from Cascade is in turn more technogically advanced than the inhabitant's of Sonic's home planet. G.U.N. scientists were also able to reverse-engineer Doctor Eggman's otherwordly technology as a means of creating their own robots, such as the Gun Beetle or Laser Hunter. Chris Thorndyke, as a teenager, was also able to create a highly advanced device that would allow him to travel between dimensions.[4]
