Its health gauge depletes every time the Hover Craft takes damage, and if it empties, the Hover Craft explodes and Shadow falls out of it. It can also be tipped and knocked over, the latter which will cause Shadow to fall out of the Hover Craft.[2]
The Hover Craft can only be found in Kingdom Valley and Dusty Desert. To get onboard/leave the Hover Craft, the player has to press /. Onboard, the player can accelerate by pressing /, Hover Jump (high-altitude jumps) by pressing / twice, brake/reverse by pressing /, steer with the left stick, and use the machine gun with the R1 button/Right trigger.
