The Hover-Matic[1] is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog books published by Golden Books. It is a flying pod created by Dr. Robotnik as his personal means of transportation.

Appearance[]
The Hover-Matic is a blue-grey pod with one seat and a steering wheel. It has two pairs of grey wings on the sides, with the larger pair being set below the smaller pair, and it has a single headlight on the front.

The Hover-Matic is a one-man flying pod capable of flight.[1]
History[]
Sonic the Hedgehog: Sonic's Shoes Blues[]
With Dr. Robotnik having successfully caught the Freedom Fighters, sans Sonic, in a trap, he arrived in his Hover-Matic to finish them off, but would retreat with his minions to save his factory after Sonic plugged its chimney up with a giant corkscrew.[1]
Sonic the Hedgehog 2: The Secret Admirer[]
Later, Robotnik would set up a fake "Secret Admirer" as a trap for the Freedom Fighters. He would then arrive in his Hover-Matic, along with an army of Buzzbombers, only to retreat in the same vehicle with his minions after being defeated.[2]
