An impatient fellow who's in such a rush to fix up the ruins that he's been known to wreck them even more just so he can get started on the job sooner.

Xbox 360/PlayStation 3

At some point in his life, Hizir had a son named Erhan. While living in Shamar, Hizir worked as a temple repairman, restoring the local ancient temples with the aid of Erhan. During the events of Sonic Unleashed, Hizir met Sonic the Hedgehog and Chip when they first arrived in Shamar, where Hizir noted that Sonic had some prickly hair while mentioning that he himself was quite prickly, though it was in personality. Hizir then told Sonic and Chip that he nowadays was a plain old temple repairman and did not kid about things before asking them what he could do for them. Hearing that they were looking for Professor Pickle's lab, Hizir provided them with directions to the professor's lab.

Sometime later, Hizir met Sonic and Chip again, where he them that they had a lot of energy and enthusiasm as he had taken liking to them. Hearing that they were looking for the local Gaia Temple, Hizir knew where it was and provided Sonic and Chip with the directions before telling them that there was no need to thank him for his simple help and that their smiles were thanks enough.

Following that, Hizir returned to repairing one of the temple in Arid Sands. While working on repairing a temple pillar, Hizir saw Sonic and Chip race by the temple, which accidentally made him put too pressure on the pillar, making it crack and fall down, though Sonic and Tails avoided the pillar. After this incident, Hizir returned to the town, where he soon after ran into Sonic and Chip again and told them how he saw them race by the temple  accidentally brought the pillar down on top of them. After expressing his worries for Sonic and Chip's safety, Hizir asked them not to tell this to anyone and was relieved to hear that they were all right, before advising them not to race around like that next time.

Sometime afterwards, Hizir learned that Empire City was overrun by Badniks. Not long after, Hizir met Sonic and Chip and informed them of Empire City's, where he noted that Dr. Eggman was making robots like crazy and that the doctor could at least give him one as he would make it work until it could not more.

After Sonic and Chip returned to Shamar from clearing out Empire City, Hizir met them again and told them that the town had become dangerous at night due to monsters coming out when it got dark. Hizir then told Sonic and Chip that he hoped they would do something about the monsters quickly, as he had become too scared to go out at night.

As Sonic and Chip restored Shamar's continent, Hizir was caught off guard by the earthquake from the continent coming back into place. Not long after that, Hizir met Sonic and Chip again and told them of his experience with the earthquake. Having learned that Sonic and Chip were behind the restoration of the earth, Hizir complemented their work, but asked them to be more gentle with it, especially after hearing that that they going to Adabat next.

Sometime later, Hizir met Sonic and Chip again, where he asked them if they were still repairing the planet and how they did it, wondering if they were using tools. He then commented that if that was the case, Sonic and Chip were like his colleagues and laughed at his joke. After calming down, Hizir then told Sonic and Chip that they should all work as hard as they could.

At some point after, Hizir had grown so fond of Sonic and Chip that he thought of them as his own grandsons, and would then spend his free time keeping a close eye out for them. Soon afterwards, Hizir met Sonic and Chip again and told them that they were really something before asking them about how long it would be before the planet would be whole. Their conversation was cut short, however, when Sonic and Chip said they had to report to Professor Pickle, but Hizir would not hold them up and left them leave.

As Sonic and Chip were heading out to Eggmanland, Hizir met Sonic and Chip once more and told them that they were really something before asking of how long before the planet would be whole. As he heard that they only had one continent left Hizir told Sonic and Chip to nail Dr. Eggman into the ground when they saw him.

Following Perfect Dark Gaia's defeat at the hands of Super Sonic and the Gaia Colossus, Hizir was rejoicing alongside Erhan and the rest of his town, as the world returned to normal.

Wii/PlayStation 2

Hizir never made an in-game appearance during the Wii/PlayStation 2 version of Sonic Unleashed, and only appeared during a pre-rendered cutscene. Following Perfect Dark Gaia's defeat at the hands of Super Sonic and the Gaia Colossus, Hizir was rejoicing alongside Erhan and the rest of his town, as the world returned to normal.

Hizir is rather impatient and has been known to wreck temples just to get to work sooner. He has taken a liking to Sonic the Hedgehog and Chip due to their energy and enthusiasm about reassembling the earth when it was shattered.
