— Description, Sonic the Hedgehog Encyclo-speed-ia

Hiyoko Master[1] (ガチョウメカ[2] Gachō Meka?, lit. "Goose Mecha") is a character from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Master Robot created by Dr. Robotnik, who used it during the Master Robot incident.

Appearance[]

While part of its appearance is revealed, Hiyoko Master is known to be a goose-based Master Robot. It has a light gray/white round head with two black cartoon eyes on either side and an orange beak. Behind it it also has four beaks that would simulate the feathers of a real goose. It also has a long light gray/white neck that connects the head to some unknown device.

History[]

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (8-bit)[]

In Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (8-bit), Hiyoko Master was created by Dr. Robotnik to fry Sonic in the Sky High Zone. Although it received help from various Mecha Hiyokos, Hiyoko Master was definitely destroyed by Sonic.

Powers and abilities[]

Hiyoko Master has the ability to fire projectiles.

Weaknesses[]

Hiyoko Master's head is unprotected at the front, making it quite vulnerable in battle.

Battle[]

Hiyoko Master is the Master Robot of Sky High Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (8-bit) and the game's second overall boss. The player faces it as Sonic the Hedgehog.

Boss guide[]

Hiyoko Master will first shoot four Mecha Hiyoko that will jump about the arena. If Sonic lands a successful hit, it will fall under the clouds to avoid being damaged. It will shoot another wave of the robot birds once more, then it will reemerge from beneath the clouds. It will shoot out a red energy blast, then it will bounce around the arena. To defeat the robot, Sonic must successfully land six hits. The player will be able to destroy Prison Egg and end the Zone.
