High Propeller Flying[1] is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a technique used by Miles "Tails" Prower where he uses his twin-tails to fly from a sitting position, and a variation of Propeller Flying.
Description
When performing High Propeller Flying, Tails suspends himself in midair from a sitting position by rotating his twin-tails. This allows him to fly while sitting down and damage anything his spinning twin-tails come into contact with.
In gameplay, High Propeller Flying can only be used when Tails has Cream the Rabbit as his partner. When used, this move allows Tails to fly through midair and attack enemies below him with his twin-tails, much like Propeller Flying. However, whilst performing the move, Tails will tire quicker than when using Propeller Flying, thus causing him to drop to the ground, and he will have trouble pulling off horizontal movements. To perform High Propeller Flying in gameplay, the player must press during a jump.[1]
Trivia
- High Propeller Flying is one of three special variations of Propeller Flying found in Sonic Advance 3, the others being Hammer Propeller Flying with Amy and the Mid-Air Glide with Knuckles.
