Hidekuni Horita (堀田 英邦 Horita Hidekuni?) is a Japanese composer employed by Sega who has doe work for the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

History[]

Little information is known about Horita's background. He joined Sega in 2014, just after graduation. His electro-acoustic sonorities help him to progress within the firm.

His first throw was on Phantasy Star Online 2, where he composed portions of Resonant Catastrophe, the theme of Mining Base Defense Op.: Ending raid from Episode 3 expansion, alongside Mitsuharu Fukuyama. Right after that, he was assigned to Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, mainly in athletics. He later helped compose the music for Team Sonic Racing.
