Drop in from above and deal damage to enemies below.

— Description, Sonic Frontiers[1]

The Heat Stomp[1] (ヒートストンピング Hīto Sutonpingu?, lit. "Heat Stomping") is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a variation of the Stomp used by Knuckles the Echidna.

Description[]

HeatStompIcon

Skill icon for Heat Stomp.

When using the Heat Stomp, Knuckles first stalls briefly by spinning around in a spiral before diving downwards during his spiral animation. Upon hitting the ground, Knuckles flares a fiery aura, while the impact of the attack creates a flaming shockwave that releases from it.

Overview[]

In Sonic Frontiers, the Heat Stomp is one of Knuckles' Skills in The Final Horizon.

To use it, the player must press /Circle/B while Knuckles is in midair. It can only be used once before touching the ground if the player performs a move that cancels the attack, such as Parry, Boost and Drill Spin Boost. It can also be cancelled by performing a Spin Dash.

In order to unlock it, the player must use five Skill Points as Knuckles.

Unlike the normal Stomp, the move's landing hit has more range and deals more damage. However, it has a slower startup, which makes it difficult to land against moving enemies, thus making it the slowest Stomp variant in the game.
