The Hang-on (ハングオン,Hanguon?) is a recurring Bike type Extreme Gear in the Sonic Riders series. When in use, the Hang-On will play the theme music from SEGA's arcade game Hang-On in the background.
The Hang-On made its first appearance in Sonic Riders. According to its profile, it is a collector's gear and has great value. It is unlocked in the game by completing the Heroes Story in Story Mode, and can then be purchased at the shop for 2,000 Rings.
The Hang-On's design in Sonic Riders resembles a red and black racing motorcycle, with a screen in the front of the front fork and blue stripes along its sides.
Abilities and Traits
As a Bike type Extreme Gear in Sonic Riders, the Hang-On is more powerful, but less maneuverable and less fuel efficient than most other types of Extreme Gears.
When the Hang-On is selected for race, the music from the game Hang-On will play instead of the normal stage's background music.
