The Chaos Effect[]

The interior of the Hall of Mirrors, from Knuckles' Chaotix.
Renfield the Rodent invited Knuckles, Sonic, and the Knothole Freedom Fighters to the Hall of Mirrors, and with the aid of Dr. Ivo Robotnik, trapped Sonic and the Knothole Freedom Fighters in another dimension behind the mirrors and released energies that robbed Knuckles of his physical abilities. Robotnik allowed Knuckles to leave the Hall of Mirrors so that he would feel helpless without his powers, and report of the Freedom Fighters capture to the world. However, during his battle with Titan Metal Sonic, a Power Gem-enhanced Knuckles managed to topple him over, with him landing on the Hall of Mirrors, destroying it and liberating the Freedom Fighters.[1]
