The Guardian Sphinx Boss is a boss that was set to appear in the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

According to concept artwork for Sonic X-treme, the Guardian Sphinx Boss is about four times taller than Sonic the Hedgehog, making the boss possibly a side-view battle. It also could have been possible that this boss could have appeared in the Red Sands Zone. Excluding that, nothing else is known about the boss, but it seems that it could be based off of Egg Golem from Sonic & Knuckles, or it could have gave inspiration to the next Egg Golem that appears in Sonic Adventure 2.
