The Guardian Pawn (ガーディアンポーン Gādianpōn?) is an enemy that appears in Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. It is an old model of Badniks which was used by the Nocturnus Clan.

Description[]

Following Dr. Eggman's presumed death and the Nocturnus Clan's attempt to escape from the Twilight Cage, the Guardian Pawns were found by the Nocturnus Clan, who took control of them and began using them as a part of their own forces.

The Guardian Pawns can only be encountered on Angel Island. However, a single Guardian Pawn can also be fought in Metropolis. Here, a Guardian Pawn was set there by Eggman to protect his anti-aircraft cannon. When Tails, Dr. Eggman and their team came to use the cannon, the Guardian Pawn attacked them, but was destroyed in the following battle.

The Guardian Pawns' basic attack is shooting their opponents with energy blasts from their hand blasters, which can deal four hits per user. Their POW moves are Charging (チャージ! Chāji!?) and Super Shot (スーパーショット Sūpāshotto?), which can inflict Weaken. They also come in a more powerful variant called Guardian Pawn Mk. II.
