The Grim Troopers[1] is a group that appears in the Sonic Prime television series. It is a robot army led by Nine. They live in The Grim and were replicated from his Alpha Troopers using the powers of the Paradox Prism to serve as Nine's army.

Sonic would make a deal with Nine that Sonic would willingly give himself up while his friends and the Shatterverse would be free. Surprisingly enough, Sonic's friends don't believe Nine will keep his word. This leads to Nine's frustration, and so he gathers Alpha Grim Sonic, Alpha Grim Amy, Alpha Grim Birdie, Alpha Grim Knuckles and Alpha Grim Rouge to the Citadel, and, using the power of the unstable Paradox Prism, creates an endless robot army based on the Alphas and would obey Nine in the battle.[1]
Trivia[]
- The color of their faces is based on their real counterparts such as Sonic Troopers have Blue, Knuckles Troopers having orange, Rouge Troopers having purple and a darker blue at times, while Amy Troopers and Birdie Troopers having pink.
- Due to Nine being the master, Tails is the only one without an Alpha or a Grim Trooper counterpart as Nine is supposed to represent that role.
- For unknown reasons, Shadow and Dr. Eggman are the only characters to not have an Alpha or a Grim Trooper counterpart.
- When the Alphas were taken out, the clones disappeared.
- Alpha Grim Birdie was the first alpha to be cloned.
