The Rank the player gets from clearing Plant Kingdom's levels determines the amount of Green Material earned. The Hidden Islands are exceptions as they always give two Green Materials regardless of Rank:

B Rank (Sonic Rush Adventure) 2 Materials
C Rank (Sonic Rush Adventure) 1 Material

Sonic Lost World

In the Nintendo 3DS version of Sonic Lost World, the player can earn Green Materials by clearing Windy Hill's Zones. The Rank the player gets from clearing the Zones determines the amount of Green Material earned:

Rank No. of Materials earned

A 10 Materials
B 7 Materials

D 3 Materials

As an alternative to collecting Green Materials, the player can combine other Materials in Tails' Lab to create Green Materials. To create one Green Material, the player needs at least one Yellow Material and one Blue Material.
