The Great Forest is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog television series. It is a massive wooded area beyond Robotropolis. It acts as a safe haven for the residents who managed to escape Mobotropolis during Dr. Robotnik's military coup; Knothole was built deep within the forest and remains hidden there. For many years, the forest has acted as the home for the Knothole Freedom Fighters
