The Gravity Ring[1] is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It appears as speed-enhancing phenomenon produced by the Gravity Dive and Meteor Burst.

Description[]

The Gravity Ring is presented as a basic and thick transparent ring in midair made of purple energy.

Overview[]

In Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, the Gravity Ring is tied to the core gameplay mechanics produced by the Arks of the Cosmos. It appears as a product of the Gravity Dive mechanics. When a playable character activity Gravity Dive or a Meteor Burst, they will produce a Gravity Ring right behind them. These Gravity Rings will linger for a while before disappearing. However, if the playable character passes through a Gravity Ring before it disappears, they will gain a burst of speed similar to the one produced by the Gravity Dive or Meteor Burst.[1] The Gravity Rings can be used whether the playable character is riding on the ground normally or gliding thanks to Gravity Dive. As such, they are useful when the playable character needs to keep up with rival racers.
