Golden Capital Zone is the eighth Zone of Sonic Superstars. It is a location on the Northstar Islands. The Zone contains two standard Acts, as well as an optional Act exclusive to Knuckles.
Golden Capital Zone is an extravagant temple found in the desert that is encrusted in gold and has black and white checkered floors. There are numerous pools of lava found here.

Act Knuckles[]

Once this Act is completed, the following cutscene will give Knuckles the Chaos Emeralds that have not yet been collected.
Act 2[]

Right before this Act begins, a cutscene plays where Fang robs Knuckles of the Chaos Emeralds. Due to this, the player will not have access to Emerald Powers.

After the boss is defeated, the player will regain the Chaos Emeralds had prior to the end of Act Knux.
If he is not already active as a player character, Sonic can be briefly spotted in the background right before Act 1's first mandatory background transition. After waiting for a brief moment, he will run off-screen to continue further into the level.
The general appearance of Golden Capital Zone (specifically Act 1) is based on a piece of concept artwork from the original Sonic the Hedgehog. The image in question showcases an unused zone and features Japanese text describing it as a "golden" country.
This is the only Zone with no level transition at the end of its last act, giving no explanation as to how the characters reached Cyber Station Zone.
