The Golden Bell is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by IDW Publishing. It is a unique Wispon that is worn by Lanolin the Sheep in the form of a Bell for her Wisp, Maggie, and her main weapon of defense.

Description[]

Appearance[]

When worn by Lanolin, it appears as a normal Golden Bell and inside the bell is a round purple dot to represent where the Wisp powers come from once activated. Though once removed it is shown as a handheld bell that is golden with purple lines and gray piece in between the top of the bell to show where the Wisp powers come from.

Features and traits[]

Lanolin saving Tangle

Lanolin saving Tangle using her wispon, from Sonic the Hedgehog #57.

The Bell fires concentrated Sonic waves when struck. The Bell can also be rung as an alarm, distress signal etc. The Clacker will glow Magenta when activated.

When transformed, ringing the bell releases massive concentric sound waves leveling everything in their way. Further abilities include the capability to be used as a light source for dark caves.[1]

History[]

Past[]

Lanolin would get a wispon in the shape of her bell for her wisp friend Maggie.

Urban Warfare[]

In Eggperial City, Sonic and Tangle were fighting badniks until Tangle got ambushed by Red eyes, causing Lanolin to step in and use her bell to rescue her.[1] She would later use it to go into a deep underground cave as her light source.

Misadventures[]

In Green Hill, a canyon would start to flood due to "Duo"making Silver carelessly drop rocks. Lanolin uses her own Wispon to destroy some of the rocks.[2]

Clean Sweepstakes[]

During the first race of the Clean Sweepstakes race, Jet would hit Sonic on purpose until Lanolin uses her the handheld to break them up.[3]

Trivia[]

  • Despite Lanolin being its owner, it is still unknown whether she created it or got it upgraded by the Restoration's Chief Mechanic.
