Goal Post Juggle is the second Challenge Act of Crisis City Act 1 in the console/PC version of Sonic Generations. It is unlocked after clearing every Stage in the modern era and is playable only as Classic Sonic.

Description[]

The Goal Post Juggle is filled with the basic elements from Crisis City Act 1. Noticeably, the last section in this Challenge Act is nearly identical to the final section of Crisis City Act 1, but with more obtacles and floating debris. The Act has Iblis Biters and Iblis Worms, and the iconic tornado that can pull players into it. Along the way are also several Explosion Traps and ten-second Time Bonuses.

The player's objective is to get the floating Goal Post to the end of the Act, which is marked with a rainbow bar and stars. This is done by knocking it forward with the Spin Jump while it is in midair. Should the Goal Post touch the ground, it adds five seconds to the player's time, making it harder to get an S rank. If the player hits the Goal Post ten times in succession, it releases Rings.

Overview[]

The Goal Post Juggle is usually a tricky Act the first time around. The Act starts with the Goal Post falling down atop the player to initiate its transport. In the first section of the Act, there will be a higher platform with some Super Ring Item Boxes that the player can guide the Goal Post across. However, it is not advisable to use this platform, as crossing it takes too long. After that, the Challenge Act gets more difficult, with Iblis's Minions and Explosion Traps starting to appear.

After getting to the broken bridge, a tornado will form and try to pull the player into it from the right. Here, the player must slow down a little so they do not miss the Goal Post and avoid jumping excessively as the player is most vulnerable to the tornado's pull while in midair. After entering the open field with the floating debris, the tornado starts to pull the player in from the left. At the very end of this section is the location for the Goal Post to be placed in.
