Gingerbread Chao is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Chao that can increase their bonded individual's rewards.

Appearance

Evergreen Chao have brown pudding-like bodies with round, waterdrop-like heads. They also have large eyes, no noses or mouths, round torsos that are smaller than their heads, smooth feet with no legs, and arms with no visible hands. In addition, neither their arms nor feet have digits. They also have a short and round tail, and a small set of wings on their backs. They have three gumdrops, two red ones on the top and the bottom, and one green one in the middle, on their torso. All of these have white frosting beneath them, like the striped patterns of white frosting around their hands.

Overview

In Sonic Speed Simulator, Gingerbread Chao is a collectible pet of the "Seasonal" rarity. It could be bought from Tails' Winter Workshop for 300 candy canes each during the Gotta Snow Fast event from the 23rd of December 2022 to the 14th of January 2023.

In gameplay, Gingerbread Chao can be equipped to the playable character, allowing them to fly by the side of the playable character as they move around. In addition, when equipped, Gingerbread Chao will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb and additional Rings whenever they pick up a single Ring. The player can as well level up Gingerbread Chao for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Gingerbread Chao will improve its reward-granting attributes. Additionally, the player can fuse a Gingerbread Chao by collecting five of them, leveling all of them up to maximum, and bringing them to the Fusion Machine. Fusing a Gingerbread Chao will result in a singular fused Chao at level 1.

Powers and abilities

Gingerbread Chao are capable of flight. In addition, they possess the power to increase the rewards granted to the person they have bonded with. They also slightly boost the amount of event items collected.
