Gigantic Angel Zone is the seventh Zone of Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure.

Description

Dr. Eggman's base of operations is the interior of the previous Zone. This Zone's background design has been taken from the second Act of Scrap Brain Zone from the original Sonic the Hedgehog. This Zone takes place in a large base full of traps and hazards, most of which are taken from Metropolis Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Robotnik is also seen in his outfit from Sonic Adventure (and subsequent games) in Act 2.

Boss

The boss of Gigantic Angel Zone is Dr. Eggman, who will be piloting an armed aircraft. During the battle, Eggman hovers around just out of reach, periodically unleashing scatter shots. Every once in a while though, he will dip down, which is the safest opportunity to attack. Alternatively, the player can land on top of the explosions caused by the missiles Eggman occasionally drops in order to get a boost and reach the doctor for an attack. Afterwards, Sonic will chase Robotnik to a platform of the ship's exterior - the Last Utopia Zone.

Trivia

  • The background music for Gigantic Angel Zone of Act 1 is a remix of Desert Palace Zone's music and the music for Act 2 is a remixed version of Chrome Gadget Zone's music, both from Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
  • In comparison to the other bosses (which play the stage boss theme from Sonic the Hedgehog 3), the boss of Gigantic Angel Zone uses the mid-boss theme from Sonic & Knuckles.
