Gigantic Angel Zone is the seventh zone of Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure.

Description

Dr. Robotnik's base of operations is the interior of the previous zone. This zone's background design has been taken from the second act of Scrap Brain Zone from the original Sonic the Hedgehog. This zone takes place in a large base full of traps and hazards, most of which are taken from Metropolis Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Robotnik is seen in his outfit from Sonic Adventure (and subsequent games) in Act Two, and uses a bigger flying machine to drop bombs at Sonic while occasionally firing. Sonic must wait until he drops down or he can jump on the bomb's explosions to hit Robotnik. This concept was revisited for the Aero Egg in Sonic Advance 2. Afterwards, Sonic will chase Robotnik to a platform of the ship's exterior - the Last Utopia.

Trivia

  • The background music of Gigantic Angel Zone of Act One is a remix of the Desert Palace and the music of Act Two is a remixed version of Chrome Gadget Zone, both zones from the multiplayer mode from Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
  • In comparison to the other bosses (which play the stage boss theme from Sonic the Hedgehog 3), the boss of Gigantic Angel uses the mid-boss theme from Sonic & Knuckles.
