Giga-Bot Prime[1] is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It was a massive battle mech created by Dr. Eggman.

Description[]

Appearance[]

Standing over one hundred feet tall,[1] Giga-Bot Prime resembles a massive silver humanoid mech, with dark blue features painted on its shoulders and torso. It possesses a blocky shape, and has two gray antennas attached to the top of its head.

Features and traits[]

According to Dr. Eggman, Giga-Bot Prime possesses enough destructive capabilities to level an entire mountain.[1]

Giga-bot Prime requires large amounts of energy to activate, enough so that in can only be substantially powered by Sonic the Hedgehog's speed, which is harnessed via foot-pedals. Once activated, Giga-bot Prime possesses incredible strength, a powerful force field generator, and jet-feet which allow it to fly at high speeds.[1]

History[]

Sonic Adventure 2.5: Omega[]

With the threat of the Xorda looming over all of Mobius, Dr. Eggman convinced Sonic the Hedgehog to work for both their benefit by using his super speed to power Giga-Bot Prime. Powered by Sonic's speed, Giga-Bot Prime was able to fend off the Xorda spaceship, only for Eggman to attempt double-crossing Sonic by locking his feet into the machine's pedals. Giga-Bot Prime then carried Sonic and Sally Acorn to the Southern Tundra as it targeted the Quantum Dial, only to collapse into pieces upon reaching the Dial, due to the weapon's automated defense systems.[1]
