Whenever the player approaches a Giant-One, it will swing its axe. The player can defend this attack by using [[Guard]]. Should the player run too close, the Giant-One will lift the playable character up and toss him/her away, causing damage. To get out of the Giant-One's grip before it throws the playable character, the player must quickly press the Control Stick on the Nunchuk left and right repeatedly until his/her character is dropped. |

These massive enemies cover a big area with each swipe, and every time they connect Sonic gets knocked back something fierce. The Giant-Ones are so huge that they can easily pick up in one hand and toss him away, causing serious damage. They can also take some heavy amounts of abuse - Sonic will need to slash these guys multiple times to take them down.

Overview
The Giant-Ones are first encountered in Titanic Plain and be encountered in other missions follow that. In comparison, they are the least common enemies in the game. However, they are also the toughest to defeat, as they each have to be slashed regularly several times before they are defeated. A good way to attack the Giant-Ones up close without being grabbed by them is by using Soul Surge. Also, if the playable character is equipped with Skills such as Giant Killer or Giant Killer+1, the Giant-Ones take less hits to be defeated.
Trivia
- Upon defeating a Giant-One, the player can hear Caliburn saying "Well done" via the Wii remote's speaker feature.
