Should the player run in closer for an attack, the enemy will swipe at the player, lifting his/her character high into the air. In order to break free from the giant's grip, the player must quickly press the Control Stick on the Nunchuk left and right repeatedly until his/her character is dropped , otherwise the player will lose some rings. Once defeated, the Giant-One fades, and the player can advance through the level. |

These massive enemies cover a big area with each swipe, and every time they connect Sonic gets knocked back something fierce. The Giant-Ones are so huge that they can easily pick up in one hand and toss him away, causing serious damage. They can also take some heavy amounts of abuse - Sonic will need to slash these guys multiple times to take them down.
