These massive enemies cover a big area with each swipe, and every time they connect Sonic gets knocked back something fierce. The Giant-Ones are so huge that they can easily pick up in one hand and toss him away, causing serious damage. They can also take some heavy amounts of abuse - Sonic will need to slash these guys multiple times to take them down. — Description, Sonic and the Black Knight US website
The Giant-Ones resemble larger and bulkier Soldier-Ones, standing over two times their size. They are humanoid in appearance, but with large forearms and hands, and short legs. They are clothed in full-body gray armor that resembling those used by medieval knights which has yellow medieval markings on the torso, shoulders and forearms. Behind their helmet, they have a single eye.
The Giant-Ones are first encountered in Titanic Plain and be encountered in other missions follow that. In comparison, they are the least common enemies in the game. However, they are also the toughest to defeat, as they each have to be slashed regularly several times before they are defeated. A good way to attack the Giant-Ones up close without being grabbed by them is by using Soul Surge. Also, if the playable character is equipped with Skills such as Giant Killer or Giant Killer+1, the Giant-Ones take less hits to be defeated.
In battle, the Giant-One attacks by swinging its axe which can be blocked using Guard. Should the player come too close, the Giant-One will grab the playable character and toss him/her away, causing damage. To get out of its grip before it throws the playable character, the player must tilt the Control Stick on the Nunchuk left and right repeatedly.
Powers and abilities

They also have enormous durability, being able to withstand multiple sword slashes before succumbing to their wounds. They also have some skill in axemanship.
The Giant-Ones each wield a four-bladed battle axe that are larger than themselves. The blades on their axes are aligned as an "X" and have a extra long heel. They uses these axes to cover large areas with their swipes.
Upon defeating a Giant-One, the player can hear Caliburn saying "Well done" via the Wii remote's speaker feature.
