The Genesis Unit is a group of Robot Masters made by Dr. Wily in the year 20XX in the Mega Man comic book series published by Archie Comics. In the Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man comic crossover event, Sonic & Mega Man: Worlds Collide, following the release of the Genesis Wave, the group was revived by Dr. Wily and Dr. Eggman.

Consisting of Buster Rod G, Hyper Storm H, and Mega Water S, the group first appeared in Sonic Universe #52, where at Copy Robot's signal, the Genesis Unit ambushed at Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man.

History

At some point in the rewritten reality of the Earth in the year 20XX, created due to the Genesis Wave, the Genesis Unit was utterly destroyed by Mega Man. However, by using the time-space altering properties of the Genesis Wave, Dr. Eggman and Dr. Wily were able to revive the Genesis Unit. (WC #1, #5)

At Skull Egg Zone, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man, Proto Man, Miles "Tails" Prower, and Mega Man's robotic dog, Rush, found themselves facing Copy Robot. Sonic, noticing the same robot that aimed at Silver earlier at Green Hill Zone. The two brace on to attack Copy Robot, but the Genesis Unit strikes behind Copy Robot. As Sonic faces Buster Rod G (and insults the robot by calling him Kiki), Mega Man faces Copy Robot, and Tails and Proto Man face Hyper Storm H and Mega Water S, respectfully. After several times of being hit, Mega Man uses his Tails Wind Master Weapon he got from a roboticized Tails back at Mega City to blow away Copy Robot. Mega Man uses this Master Weapon against Hyper Storm H and then Buster Rod G, with a distraction provided by Sonic, knocking both of them down. Mega Water S, realizing he's outnumbered runs away but he is shot by Proto Man. (WC #5)
