The Iblis Worm counterpart is an enemy that appears in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). They are an unnamed breed of supernatural beasts most likely conjured up by Mephiles the Dark.
Appearance
Those variants of the Iblis Worms has the traditional worm look. Their back to head, are armored with a dust-like shield, while the other side and mouth, is not armored with its purple-like energy materials being easy to look on.
Personality
Purple Iblis worms are similar to the regular Iblis Worm, brainless. They are seen putting themselves into any occasion whether it is dangerous or not, and attacks based on a non-strategic moves which emerges from the same way that the regular worms work, but with more capabilities.
Description
They have variety of skills. They can breath a special black gas rather than flames, shot a purple-spiked ball from it's mouth on the enemy that explodes when touching or near an enemy causing damages, or extending their body to make a complete wipe for all intruders under it. When they are going to appear, a dust begin to form into the ground, once they burst from the ground, they leave wide shockwave that can hurt anyone caught under the range. When they want to hid underground, they hold back like a spring and aim into the ground, causing shockwaves too. Their armor is increased a bit, making sometimes the Spin Kick and other psychik techniques useless against their lower parts (though this occur when they are attacking mostly). Also when attacked with pushed objects by Psychokinesis, they quickly regain control of themselves and back attacking.
These worms can be attacked with the same moves as the regular Iblis Worm. With a Chaos Spear/Chaos Lance they can paralyze them, even when they are burrowing near the surface. With the Psycho Shock/Psycho Smash, it can also be temporarily paralyzed and can be grabbed by Silver's telekinesis. Some Iblis Worms are linked to other Iblis Minions, so destroying the leader Iblis Worm, destroying them all. They first appeared in Sonic and Shadow's Flame Core and in Silver's Aquatic Base.
