The GaniGani[1] (ガミガミ[2] Gamigami?) is an enemy that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a mass-produced, crab-based Badnik model created by Dr. Eggman, and a variant of the Crabmeat.

Appearance

Gamigami-spr.png

GaniGanis resemble crabs as well as the original Crabmeat. They possess orange bodies with gray underbellies, two gray eyestalks with cartoonish black eyes and orange eyelids, gray arms with orange pincers, and four orange and gray legs with gray tips.

Game appearances

Sonic Advance

Tails and a GaniGani, from Sonic Advance.

In Sonic Advance, the GaniGanis appear as enemies. They are encountered exclusively in Neo Green Hill Zone.

In gameplay, GaniGanis walk sideways, but will occasionally pause their movements to shoot two small energy balls out of their pincers, much like the Crabmeat. However, this Badnik is more aggressive and faster than the Crabmeat. Otherwise, they are easily taken out with any attack. Also, upon their destruction, they will release an Animal.

Sonic Pinball Party

In Sonic Pinball Party, the GaniGanis are found on the Sonic pinball board.

Powers and abilities

The GaniGanis are capable of firing energy balls from their pincers.
