Based on honey bees, Galaga Bee has black and yellow armor with four thin legs and pair of yellow wings. Galaga Bee wears orange and green pilot glasses and has antennae with thick ends.
Overview
In gameplay, Galaga Bees are found in Desert RuinsZone 2 and Sky Road Zone 1. In honeycomb tunnels of Desert Ruins Zone 2, herds of Galaga Bees pop out holes and start flying forward in lines, while they lookout to a player. In Sky Road Zone 1, Galaga Bees fly at lines in tubular routes. Some herds can fly forward while moving around the tubular route.
The player attack on Galaga Bee herds by using a Focused Homing Attack, as Sonic charges and defeats Badniks quickly by one at a time while receiving combined amount of points (In order: 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600 and 3200). In Sky Road Zone 1, the player has to use Focused Homing Attack on Galaga Bee herd, while crossing wide bottomless pits of tubular routes.
Trivia
Like many brand new enemies in Sonic Lost World, The name of Galaga Bee has not been listen in any official sources and instead, it is referred to as such in the game's source code.[note 1]
In the map icon of Desert RuinsZone 2, Galaga Bee can be seen flying around it.
The Badnik's name could be nod to 1981 arcade shooter game, Galaga.
