Fumie Kumatani (熊谷 文恵 Kumatani Fumie?) is a Japanese composer, arranger, and lyricist who has done work for the Sonic the Hedgehog series.
History[]
Kumatani's first work for Sega was composition and arrangement for the soundtrack of NiGHTS into Dreams in 1996. The first Sonic game she worked on was Sonic Adventure in 1998, where she wrote the theme songs for Amy Rose and Big the Cat and composed many level and Chao racing tracks. In Sonic Adventure 2, she worked on the theme and most of the level songs for Rouge the Bat and Shadow the Hedgehog, as well as other tracks. Kumatani composed numerous songs for Sonic and the Secret Rings, some with lyrics and vocals by Runblebee. She also composed the ending song, "Worth a Chance", performed by Steve Conte.
She contributed many compositions and arrangements from Sonic Advance 3 until Sonic Colors. Her previous work was rearranged for games such as Sonic and the Black Knight, Sonic Generations, and Sonic Forces.[1] Her Chao music was also featured in the Chao In Space short film.
