The Fuel Tanker[1] is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog television series. It is a model of hover vehicles for transporting fuel. Fuel Tankers often appear in groups and drive in lines, one after the other.[1]

Fuel Tankers are blue-gray vehicles that look a bit like trucks, but without wheels. On their backs are fuel tanks.

Features and abilities

The Fuel Tankers are capable of floating slightly above ground, granting them semi-flight capabilities. However, they do not have any weapons, so they require escorts from Dr. Robotnik's more combat orientated machines.[1]

Eventually, Chuck discovered the Fuel Tankers' plans and that Snively had been ordered by Dr. Robotnik to send a fuel convoy to the Doomsday Machine. Later, while the Fuel Tankers, which were being escorted by Hover Units and Swat-Bots, were passing through Robotropolis, Sonic distracted the guards. Taking advantage of the situation, Sally, Bunnie and Antoine used Magno Vests to attach themselves to the bottom of the Fuel Tankers' chassis while they poured water into the Fuel Tankers' tanks, thereby sabotaging them. However, the heroes were discovered when the guards returned to the Fuel Tanker convoy. Regardless, they managed to escape after Sonic came to their aid. Later, several Fuel Tankers arrived at the Doomsday Machine and supplied it with the needed fuel.[1] Later, during the Doomsday Project, Sonic, Sally, Bunnie and Antoine snuck into the Doomsday Machine's premise by hiding under Fuel Tankers.[2]
