From the Journal of King Elias Acorn[1] was a short story published on the now-defunct Archie Comics Sonic the Hedgehog blog, written by Ian Flynn. Presented as a databank entry, it details events during in the Iron Dominion Takeover from the perspective of Elias Acorn, and takes place sometime between issues #208 and #212 of the main series. The story is mostly composed of text, but occasionally includes reused panels from the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series to relate to the subject. It was published on 2 December 2010.

- It's odd being back on Angel Island.

- I asked Knuckles to whom these homes used to belong.
- He didn't answer, and given the way he looked when I asked, I've decided not to pursue the matter further.
