Entries[]
- When we were little, I always looked up to Julayla.
- She was so beautiful, elegant and strong. Then, during a frightful raid by the Overland (before the war) she hid with me and said "I'm so glad I have someone as strong as you to rely on."
- Julayla, so stunning, so perfect, looked up to me.
- She thought I was strong!
- I took that to heart and I have lived every day trying to be the woman my cousin believed me to be.
- When Julian made his terrible betrayal, I ushered the children to safety.
- As they grew into the fine young warriors, I made sure they grew up warm, well fed and loved. I thought, maybe one day, they would win us our freedom and I could retire.
- I am an old woman now. I still have children under my care. And now we sit huddled in this pod, this..."Prison Egg," I think it's called?
- And so I remember what Julayla said to me on that frightful day. I will be strong for her, and for my little ones. They will grow up warm, well fed, and loved.
- And no "Iron Dominion" will stop me from doing just that.
