Appearance[]

Froggy is a green-skinned non-anthropomorphic frog with a round body and four limbs. His limbs are rather thin, and each one has webbed feet with two toes each. He also has a white underbelly, orange stripes around his body, and red dots on his cheeks. He also has medium-large eyes with pale yellow sclera and wide black pupils.

After drinking Chaos' essence, Froggy gained a tail with a triangular tip. He supposedly lost it after Chaos' essence was returned to him, though it has made several reappearances in subsequent games.

History[]

Past[]

In the past, Froggy would end up in various locations on Earth under unknown circumstances such as Cocoa Island[2], in Amy's house[3], Angel Island[4], Newtrogic High Zone[5], Sonic's birthday in Studiopolis[6], Press Garden[7] and Northstar Islands on two occasions.[8][9] Sometime later,[10] Froggy met Big the Cat and became his pet and best friend.

Sonic Adventure[]

In Sonic Adventure, Froggy swallowed both a part of Chaos and a Chaos Emerald. Abducted by E-102 Gamma, Froggy was taken to the Egg Carrier as Dr. Robotnik wanted the Emerald and the Chaos piece inside him. Big pursued him and recovered his friend. However, the Chaos Emerald and the part of Chaos he had swallowed were absorbed into Chaos, allowing him to become Chaos 6, but was eventually rescued by Big with the aid of Sonic. Big and Froggy then took the Tornado 2 back to Mystic Ruins.

Sonic Heroes[]

In Sonic Heroes, Froggy and Chocola (Cheese's twin) were abducted. Big, Amy and Cream went to look for them under the impression that Sonic had taken them. During the adventure they instead figured out that Dr. Robotnik, now known as "Eggman", had kidnapped Froggy and Chocola, and defeated him. However, it turned out that Metal Sonic had framed Sonic and Eggman and had kidnapped Froggy and the Chao in order to copy the residual data of Chaos. When the treacherous robot was defeated, the frog and Big returned home.

Personality[]

While unable to express himself vocally, Froggy has shown other ways to define himself: one of which is his rather bad habit of running off on his own, leaving his best friend to chase after him. When reunited with Big, the frog appears to be content with returning to his home at the Mystic Ruins.

Froggy is a simple-minded frog that does whatever he wants at any given time. Though he is not known to exactly listen to anyone, he can be slightly obedient with Big. According to Big, Froggy also apparently is not a fan of fast driving as he gets motion sick when going too fast.

Relationships[]

Big the Cat[]

Big the Cat is Froggy's best friend. He enjoys his company and lives with him in the Mystic Ruins. Sometimes, however, Froggy has been known to run off independently away from Big, which prompts Big to come looking for him. However, he is always glad to be reunited with him and come back to their home.[11]
