I honestly don't even get why we made separate pages for stages that were in Sonic Generations, especially since we have existing pages for them. Some stages have appeared numerous times in different games, and most of the time have had different layouts. Yet the information all fits into one page. I think that these types of pages should be merged. And for the games and Archie pages, I think those should remain separated, as they may be Sonic, but are from two different continuities. MetalMickey272 Agreed. Redirects are there for a reason. We don't want all those canons be jostled up. As for stages and such, I say merge. Time Biter "The Rift" 02:06, March 8, 2013 (UTC) Per Metal.  Splash the Otter   C  E  02:38, March 8, 2013 (UTC) We keep pages like the ones mentioned seperate because, A) They're pages covering specific versions of a particular topic, and B) Having everything on a single page would make the pages excessively long, cramped and, as a consequence, make them more difficult to load on servers with slower Internet connections. Not all of us have decent Internet connections, nor do the Wiki's frequent visitors/readers. Having the pages made to have subpages when it is deemed necessary makes things more organized around the Wiki and helps to avoid the problems mentioned. And the different versions of Green Hill Zone are just that: different versions of a similar stage. If they have seperate pages, then it's obviously been deemed necessary to have them seperate because they have enough differences in information to warrant the creation of subpages. Serious Sam Heavy 09:59, March 8, 2013 (UTC) This is what disambiguation pages are for. We have a lot of pages on Wookieepedia that share the same name, but they're not about the same thing. Thus, we tag them with appropriate (labels) and make a disambiguation page to list them all. You think there was only one Battle of Yavin? There's the Battle of Yavin that we are all familiar with, a few that occurred during the Great Sith War, more occurred during the Great Galactic War, New Sith Wars, the Clone Wars, and during the Galactic Civil War? Not only the one that we all know about, but seven more! If we made a single article to contain every single little skirmish that had happened on or around the moon of Yavin 4, the article would be huge. Thus, we have them in separate articles and a disambiguation page listing them in one convenient place. It's simply better organization. More people seem to be against the idea of merging pages of the same name than splitting pages of the same name.
