Formation Gates are triggers in the shape of a gate that characters can switch into Speed, Flight, or Power formations in Sonic Heroes.
Description
A Flight formation gate.
When a character goes through it, it automatically changes them to the specific character with that type it has (i.e. If Knuckles the Echidna, the power-type of Team Sonic, was to go through a Speed formation gate, he will be switched into Sonic the Hedgehog, Team Sonic's speed-type). There are certain occasions where three formation gates are lined up together, giving the player a choice to go through one of the formation gates and the specific character type.
