Stages with a forest theme have a forestial setting. These stages usually have an emphasis on platforming and elevated exploration. This is one of the most common themes in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. This kind of setting includes settings with many trees and/or jungle elements. This theme is closely related to the Green Hill theme.
