Shadow and Omega combine their strongest attacks on one target damaging it and possibly leaving it vulnerable.

— Description, Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood[1]

Focus Field (フォーカスショット Fōkasushotto?, lit. "Focus Shot") is a POW move performed by Shadow the Hedgehog, with the aid of E-123 Omega, in Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. When performing this move, Shadow fires a Chaos Blast, while Omega simultaneously uses his Machine Gunner in a duel attack on the opponent. This attack may leave the foe vulnerable.

Description[]

When performing Focus Field, Shadow and Omega first walk up in front of their opponent. Omega then reconfigures both his hand claws into gatling guns, while Shadow jumps up on top of Omega's head. Shadow then jumps into the air and uses his Chaos Blast technique, firing a purple beam, while Omega uses his Machine Gunner technique, shooting several bullets at once, with both attacks striking the same opponent simultaneously. After attacking, Shadow and Omega retreat to their respective team positions.

In gameplay, Focus Field deals attack damage to a single target. When it deals damage, Focus Field has a chance of inflicting vulnerable on the target. The higher the level of Focus Field is, the more attack damage it will deal and the greater the possibility that it will inflict vulnerable on an opponent.

Real-Time Interaction[]

When performing Focus Field in gameplay, the player has to complete a series of real-time events by performing certain actions on the Touch Screen, in order to execute Focus Field optimally:

  1. The player has to touch the inside of two circles in succession when the outer circles overlap the inner circles.
  2. The player has to tap an inner circle that appears eight times before the outer circle overlaps the inner circle
  3. The player has to touch the inside of a circle when the outer circle overlaps the inner circle.

Missing or not touching these circles correctly will either result in Shadow and Omega missing the strike or the damage from the attack being reduced.

Statistics[]

Level PP Cost Damage Effect
