The Flower Cannon is an Item Box power-up that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series
Description [ ] The Flower Cannon's icon takes the form of orange-yellow flower along with 3 white and yellow-outline sparkles surround it. In the gameplay, this power-up summon the random-colored flowers down the track.
Overview [ ] In gameplay, the Flower Cannon can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by Fairy Tikal . As with most other Items, Metal Sonic and Metal Sonic Mach 3.0 can also use the Flower Cannon if they use the Steal Item, or Fortune Teller Amy if she uses Lucky Draw or Wall of Cards to steal it from the aforementioned user.
Once obtained, the player can utilize the Flower Cannon by pressing its icon on the bottom of the HUD. When used, the Flower Cannon will drop random-colored flowers (there are orange, blue, yellow and pink) some distance ahead of the user's current location on all the lanes that the user is not currently on. In addition, right after the flowers release, every of them will fire a bullet which launches ahead of the players behind them. These bullets will travel some distance in opposite direction from the players until they hit any obstacles, rivals or Badniks ; or they wear off. If a character, including the user themselves, touches one of the flowers or their bullets, causing them to lose Rings and slow down momentarily. To avoid the Flower Cannon, the playable character must either jump over or run in-between them.
The Flower Cannon can also be upgraded by leveling the user up to level 4, 10 and 16 respectively. For each upgrade, the player will increase the damage dealt with the Flower Cannon.
